Walk of Fame Ltd have joined forces with the owners of the iconic ‘Brighton Palace Pier to establish the ‘Brighton Music Walk of Fame as a permanent ‘free to view’ cultural attraction paying tribute to the many musicians, artists, composers and DJ’s closely associated with the city & Sussex from the early sixties to present day. Brighton Palace Pier is an internationally recognised iconic attractions, one of Britain’s most famous historic coastal landmarks receiving in excess of 5 million visitors each year and voted the most visited FREE attraction in the country outside of London. Official figures release by Visit England showed that only the British Museum, National Gallery, Tate Modern and Natural History Museum attracted more visitors.
The BMWF W will include 52 inductees in its inaugural year with further names to be inducted annually.
Inductees will include: THE WHO - NORMAN COOK - JEFF BECK - ROD STEWART - DAVID GILMOUR - LEO SAYER - PRIMAL SCREAM- NICK CAVE - ORBITAL JIMMY PAGE - TOM ODELL - STEVE ELLIS - THE LAMBRETTAS - RIZZLE KICKS - THE KOOKS - CONOR MAYNARD and many more.....
Juice 107.2 FM are the official media partners of the BMWF and will be conducting an on air competition for their listeners to nominate 6 of the names to be inducted.
‘The Teenage Cancer Trust’ is the official affiliated charity of the BMWF. A percentage from all funds received will be donated to the charity to assist with the running costs of the proposed TCT Ward to be established at the Royal Alexander Hospital later in 2017
The inaugural launch event will be held in mid April 2018 date to be announced.
The BMWF will have a dedicated presence on the Visit Brighton APP to include inductee plaque locations
