The Childrenís Walk of Fame will be the first cultural attraction of its kind and will be the home of some of the biggest stars that children most admire.
The exciting new project is in full swing with the Early Learning Centre announcing that they will be running a national vote throughout their 270 nationwide stores. Leapfrog day nurseries and Jigsaw will also be assiting the national vote throughout their 100+ nurseries. Simply call in from 1st July to 30th July to collect your voting form from the staff there. Potential sponsors have been contacted and negotiations are moving swiftly. Nicole Parker, Account Manager at Murray Media, said ìThis is a very exciting time for the Childrenís Walk of Fame. We are close to finalising a deal with a nationally recognised childrenís company and having the Early Learning Centre on board has given us a massive boost. We are well on the way to the first star-studded investiture in Augustî
The plaques will be displayed and featured as a walk around Drusillaís Zoo Park. This is one of the Britainís leading zoo, farm and activity destinations and excitement there is at fever pitch. Staff and visitors alike anticipate welcoming internationally recognised stars to the park.
The categories for those elected will be diverse and nominees will be both posthumous and current. Names such as David Beckham, Bob the Builder, Shrek and Girls Aloud are expected to be nominated as are JK Rowlingís Harry Potter, Roald Dahl. Winnie the Pooh and Jonny Wilkinson look set to be inducted in to the worldís first official Childrens Walk of Fame.
