SO KEEP THOSE STAR NAMES FLOODING IN...
Nominations for the Brighton celebrities to be honoured in the town's Hollywood Walk of Fame have been flooding in. But we want them coming because we need YOUR help to decide who will be among the first 40 to be honoured. Among the most popular votes so far is Sir Winston Churchill, who went to school in Goldstone Villas. Theatre critic Jack Tinker who loved Brighton and lived while he worked at the Argus and the Daily Mail, and Sir Laurence Olivier, who also moved to Brighton, are popular too.

Other nominations include Brighton based actor Victor Spinetti, who starred in Richard Attenborough's classic film Oh what a Lovely War, wet on the West Pier, and appeared with the Beatles in Help! Among other possibilities are pop Group ABBA who won the 1974 Eurovision song contest in Brighton. The Walk of Fame, to be laid at Brighton Marina is a 485m long waterside walkway of stone dedicated to celebrities who have a strong link to Brighton.
