The telephone lines are buzzing as votes pour in for the stars readers of the Argus want to see set in stone on Brighton's Hollywood-style Walk of Fame. The walk around Brighton Marina, will be the first of it's type in Britain and will become one of the most talked-about attractions in the city. Each person nominated will have their picture immortalised in stone in a specially designed plaque along with a brief biography.
Readers of the Argus are being given the opportunity to have their say on who should be on the Walk of Fame and at the same time make a donation to the Argus Appeal. Each caller will be entered into a prize draw and the winner will be invited to the Rendezvous Casino on November 1 when many of the nominees will be present. The Walk of Fame is the brainchild of Brighton businessman David Courtney, who discovered Leo Sayer and a host of other acts.
To Vote for who you would like to see immortalised in stone, dial our Walk of Fame main vote line. There is only one vote per telephone call, calls cost 25p per minute, which goes directly towards the Argus Appeal.
